As the second of two placemaking works commissioned by Main Street Wadsworth, a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to the revitalization of downtown Wadsworth, Ohio, this mural brings a familiar narrative to the people it serves. The composition features a 17' cardinal—likely making it the largest cardinal in the world (to be confirmed)— and an arrangement of flowers following its trajectory. Though both walls can stand on their own, they are also unified by a common narrative, carrying elements of one into the other. Whereas the first wall is titled "Music is...", this one carries the name "...The Healing Force"; combined, they complete Albert Ayler's song titled "Music is the Healing Force of the Universe". Ayler is the musician featured on the first mural.

The cardinal is Ohio's state bird, but it also has a slew of special meanings, sometimes evoking emotional or spiritual feelings. Our intention was to bring light to that moment of awe that takes place when spotting a beautiful bird, in which all of one's identity melts away for a split second in exchange for a gasp of child-like wonder.
